“We purchased our antique table from Scott Antiques over 40 years ago. It was the first item we purchased as a couple and it has taken pride of place in our dining room as we entertained up to 16 friends and/or family at a time, over the years. The solid oak, 4 inserts and the delicate design of the legs were features that attracted us initially and the table had continuous use as we raised our children and more recently entertained our grandchildren.
Recently, we made the decision to downsize to a brand new apartment and wanted the table to be the centerpiece of our open space living area. But, it was looking a little sad, the table had lost its lustre, the legs were cracked and the wheels at the base needed to be removed because of the hardwood floors.
So we began the search for a skilled artisan to make the necessary repairs and finishing, including adding height to the legs to compensate for the loss of the wheels. Not an easy task. Fortunately, we found Andy and Meena. Andy talked to us and insisted that he see the table and very professionally guided us through the process necessary to restore it to its former glory. Then the bad part, no, not the cost, but the wait time required because they were so busy. We had to wait our turn.
However, it was well worth the wait. When we visited to see the finished product we were astounded how wonderful our table looked, thanks to the skill and dedication that Andy and Meena had used to restore the table to its former beauty.
The price we were charged was fair, it was delivered and assembled to our apartment and the workmanship was superb. It now holds pride of place in our living area and it will stand the test of time. No IKEA furniture for us.
Thank you Andy and Meena for your professionalism, the quality of your work and your friendliness.
We are very happy we found you.”

” Andy and Meena:

Thank you for an absolutely amazing job of refinishing our coffee table, we were sure it was beyond fixing and considered throwing it out, we thought we would try to find someone who would try to do something with it given it was passed down in the family and was about eighty or so years old and was used by our puppy to teethe on, you surpassed our expectations, it looks as I would think when it was brand new and would recommend you to everyone, true craftsmanship, thank you again.”

“ Our large oak desk was showing quite a bit of wear. That’s not surprising, since it was made sometime between 1902 and 1914 and has been in constant use. It served three doctors before us. Meena and Andy put in a LOT of hours, and we have a desk that looks almost new. Everything works smoothly. A few deep marks on the work surface couldn’t be fixed, and we preferred to retain the desk’s character rather than taking drastic action. It wasn’t inexpensive, but this isn’t carpentry, it’s art restoration. We are satisfied and feel we got value for our money.”

Hello Andy and Meena, I am thrilled with the results of my father’s old end table. You two turned it from a well-used [and well-loved] piece of my past into a treasure that I will someday give to one of my five grandsons. My parents married in 1935 in Manitoba, and this table was my Dad’s, in his “bachelor” days, so I know it must be at least 90 years old.

He always referred to it as a “smoker table” and it was kept beside his chair or the sofa. His pipe, tobacco and large ash-tray in easy reach!! The lower section, magazine rack usually overflowed with newspapers, Reader’s Digest magazines, etc. I could not be more pleased with your workmanship and attention given to this family treasure of mine.

Thank you for being the professionals and friendly people you both are.

Sincerely Linda Cameron, White Rock, BC. October 2021.
